PRE-FILK DINNER: 6 PM. Heide will provide dinner: a make-your-own-sandwich bar, with, water, tea, coffee, and homemade lemonade. If that doesn't meet your dietary needs, please bring what you will eat. Feel free to bring deserts, appetizers, and snacks along with your preferred beverage.

From the South and West: Take the 210 East to Waterman Canyon Rd (Also known as State Highway 18). Turn left at top of offramp. Follow the street out of San Bernardino and go up the hill. Turn off air conditioning going up the hill to avoid overheating.

[If you have a problem with heights, take the first right (Old Waterman Canyon Rd.) and follow the river bank up to where Highway 18 east toward Lake Arrowhead meets the street again, turn right onto 18]

After 11.3 miles, take the Crestline Cutoff and follow signs to stay on State 138, including the U shaped arrow going into town.
Stop at the 3-way stop sign. Opposing traffic does not stop.
Continue straight a few hundred feet, then take the quick left diagonal which is State Highway 138.
At the next three way stop, STOP, then go straight ahead, turning right into Heide's driveway.
From Lancaster/Palmdale and points North: Take Pearblossom Highway (State Highway 138) to Old Mill Rd.
Turn left onto Old Mill, and take it into Crestline.
At the five way stop, turn sharp right onto Knapps Cutoff.
Just after the next the three way stop, turn right into Heide's driveway.

Alternately, take 138 to 15 South to 215 South to 210 east and follow those directions.

Maps will show the intersection as Knapps Cutoff and SH138.

Parking for 4-5 cars in driveway or on parking pad (carpooling recommended).
More parking around the corner on Valley Road: park along the left side of the road in the gravel lot.

Type of circle: Fortune cookie, or whatever develops? digresses?

Notes:
  1. No smoking, please.
  2. No animals on site, please don't bring any.
  3. Computer on site; no printer or internet connection.
  4. Crash space for several: One extra bedroom, futons, and mats for sleeping. For those who crash overnight, Heide will be making a waffle breakfast in the morning.
  5. Please feel free to come early and enjoy the Lake, the town, and visit. Also feel free to stay and crash or visit in town the next day. I live in a beautiful place and like to share it!
